Terms of Service

The agreement

By creating an account you accept these terms. The service is operated by Hamdi Hassan, and can be reached at hello@lifeinviews.com.

Your account

• An account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account.
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• Give a real email address. It is the only way to confirm the account, reset a password, or reach you about a change to these terms.

Plans and billing

There are two plans. Free includes 10 active recurring priorities, 3 active measurements and recaps covering the most recent 4 weeks. Pro removes those limits and opens your complete history, including the yearly recap, for $3.99 per month.

Pro is billed monthly through Stripe and renews automatically until you cancel. Cancelling is self-service, from the billing portal reached in Settings. Payments are non-refundable. You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time, and Pro access continues through the end of the current paid billing period.

If a payment fails, access continues while the card is retried rather than being cut off the same day. If the retries do not succeed the subscription ends and the account returns to Free.

What happens on Free

This is the part worth reading. Dropping to Free — by cancelling, or because a payment stopped — never deletes, pauses or hides anything.

• Everything you already have keeps running and keeps recording, even if it is above the Free limits.
• You simply cannot add or reactivate beyond a limit until you are back under it. Renaming, rescheduling, pausing and editing what you already have always work.
• Older recaps are locked rather than emptied, and the data behind them keeps accumulating. Subscribing again opens the complete history immediately, with nothing missing from the gap.

Your content is yours

You keep every right to what you enter. No ownership of it is claimed and no licence to publish, display or reuse it is taken. It is accessed only as far as running the service requires — restoring a backup, or investigating a fault you have reported.

Fair use

Do not use the service to:

• break the law, or store material that does;
• attempt to reach another account’s data, or probe, scan or overload the systems behind the service;
• resell it, or run it on behalf of others as though it were your own.

Availability

The service is provided as it is, without a guaranteed level of uptime. It is a small product: there will be maintenance, occasional faults, and features that change or are removed. Backups are taken daily and kept for seven days, which sets the realistic worst case for data loss at up to a day — not zero.

Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. To the fullest extent the law allows, liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. It cancels any active subscription first, then removes your account and your entries permanently.

An account may be suspended or closed if it is used in breach of the fair-use section above, or if required by law. Except where the circumstances make it impossible, notice and a chance to export your data come first.

Changes

These terms may change as the service does. The date at the top will change, and account holders will be told by email before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the service afterwards means accepting the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
